Repeat: Three Pit

In the beginning, God created the world- but not laptops and PSPs. In the beginning, there were only trees and seas and heavens and animals, but the first humans were as contented as they were. With the divine providence, they couldn’t ask for more. They were conclusively satisfied for what was laid then before them. But this wasn’t until Satan, in the form of a slithering snake, popped out of the scene and tempted them. Tempted them and made them eat the forbidden fruit. We all know of course that from that moment on, men had suffered the consequences of betraying the trust of the God. Death came and eternal life had been forgotten. The stupendous paradise then disappeared and the vast nothingness of the cruel world appeared right before our naked entities.

What if – Adam and Eve never really committed the original sin and remained loyal to God even until now? What would “now” seem like? What if the level of satisfaction of men is just enough that we won’t be able to know what “greed” means? What if there was really no death after all? Or the birth process we have today and all of it in the history of the world is inverted? I am honestly driven by these ‘what ifs’ and there are lots of things in the world that I’d like to change, and one of these, is primarily, its beginning.

I am dying to figure out what would have happened if the original sin wasn’t committed after all. I want to know if Eve will still bear a child in her womb if they haven’t been tempted. Will we still be here if they remained loyal to God? I just want to grasp the real scenery of a life having no sin at all. What? I’m having a dire need of answers to my questions.

Maybe the world wouldn’t worry a lot. Or maybe there will be no worries at all. My asylum will be in a state of peace. Or maybe- there will only be Adam and Eve frolicking around the lovely paradise of God. No trouble. No worries, just pure tranquility and bliss.

What else could have pushed Eve to give in to temptation? The second thing I’d like to amend in this world is the level of satisfaction of every men and women. Maybe if God designed a satisfaction in simplicity, our fore parents would have been faithful to his orders. If the level of satisfaction of men is all equal in simplicity, then, there will surely be no greediness after all. There will be no conflict. Have you ever been satisfied on a simple thing yet it made you really very happy? That you can say you can die now because of contentment?

What I’m trying to point out here is the contentment and satisfaction on unsophisticated things. We feel happy by just being plain us, by being contented and well satisfied in things that are really not heavy. You know what I mean right? Simplicity. Simplicity plays a vital role in our world today and yet, because of its “simplicity”, the world never really paid attention to it. We are so much blinded by our endless wants and needs today that we never felt contented at all. Many people believe that being unsatisfied can lead them to endless successes. But do they know it can also lead them to insanity?

Simple but true. Going back to my proposals, the third will be the alteration of the birth process or the life cycle. What if death comes first? I have read something from the internet and got love struck to it. It was George Carlin’s and he was saying, “The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A Death! What's that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work. You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol, you party, you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating... and you finish off as an orgasm.”

I find his lines so sagacious. That’s so wise of him right? It’s something that can really change our lives. It’s like, hey! I’m going to die first! It’s like you won’t be facing more and more problems as you go on with life. Maybe you’re familiar with the movie of Brad Pitt, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. It’s like that! We start lives by dying first. What an irony! Then we became adults then teenagers then babies then orgasms. It would be a great relief to those who don’t want to get old! Admit it. You can’t help wishing you could defy age.

These are just some of my proposal for alterations in the world, the level of satisfaction of men, the beginning of the original sin and the life cycle. Wouldn’t it be great if we can only change things in the world? But hey. I’m being ironical here since I wished to put in simplicity level the satisfaction of men. Right?

Well, if in the beginning, God created the PSPs and laptops and all, maybe Adam and Eve would be very busy then to attend to the temptations of Satan. The satisfaction of men will probably rise to its worst even from the start if the innovations of technology were already presented to them by God. Perhaps, if the first human beings were only satisfied of what they have and haven’t been tempted, maybe we can possibly attain eternal life. Maybe these proposals of mine won’t be just proposals. They could be real.
